Hallmark now marketing unemployment greeting cards

When you're unemployed and desperately looking for work, there is little that others can do to assuage your job insecurity. But Hallmark is hoping that a little card-felt love can at least temporarily help your days feel a bit brighter. In a true "sign of the times," he greeting card giant is now marketing sorry-you-lost-your-job greeting cards:

I can't speak for all the unemployed, but as someone who a) met an unexpected job loss when the economy began to turn sour in 2008, and b) knows how much greeting cards can cost these days ($4+), I think the jobless might just prefer a small cash donation. Just sayin'...
