When Ed Rollinsresigned as campaign manager from Michele Bachmann's team back in September, he seemed to have a regular report for the news media on the negatives of Bachmann's campaign. He criticized her controversial statements regarding the HPV vaccine, then he outed Bachmann's financial troubles on MSNBC.
Through it all, Bachmann didn't say a word. But last Saturday, she finally did. She regrets not Googling Rollins before hiring him.
From the New York Times:
She said critical comments Mr. Rollins made to reporters after stepping aside were dismaying.“When it comes to personnel issues, I act professionally and respectful of former employees,” she said. “I just assume that’s a two-way street. It’s disappointing when it’s not.”When it was pointed out that Mr. Rollins has a history of speaking sharply about candidates who once employed him, Mrs. Bachmann offered a tight smile. “I guess I should have done that Google search,” she said.
As suspected, Bachmann is that type of person who can insult you while smiling.
