At this moment, Newt Gingrich and Herman Cain are duking it out in one of those "Lincoln-Douglas" style debates Gingrich gets so hot and heavy over. Gingrich is serious about those. And if he wins the Republican nomination and President Obama doesn't agree to the format, he'll chase Obama around the country.
From the New York Times:
He said for the first time that if he were to win the Republican nomination, and Mr. Obama did not agree to a series of seven long debates, he would follow the president around to every campaign stop he made to rebut his speeches.“From that day forward, for the rest of the campaign, the White House will be my schedulers,” said Mr. Gingrich, who was the last of five Republican candidates to speak.
If this weren't an election, those words might be grounds for a restraining order.
