Michael Moore is planning to sing.

Jackson Browne. Third Eye Blind. Crosby & Nash. 80s band Devo. Lucinda Williams.

What do these performers have in common? They've all signed on to be part of the forthcoming "Occupy This Album," a compilation album to benefit the Occupy Wall Street movement.

Oh, and filmmaker Michael Moore is planning to sing too.

Slated for release sometime this winter, "Occupy This Album" will be released first in digital form, with plans for a physical CD still unclear, according to the Associated Press.

The Occupy Wall Street cause has been flooded with celebrity supporters since the movement began more than two months ago, including music artists: Pete Seeger and Arlo Guthrie have each made appearances at Zuccotti Park and David Crosby and Graham Nash treated occupiers to a four-song set earlier this month.

Jason Samel, a musician who is putting the album together, told the AP the goal is to raise between $1 million and $2 million to help fuel the movement.

"It's really going to be an amazing help for years to come," Samel said.

The album will feature a combination of live cuts and new songs. Nineties rock band Third Eye Blind has already posted its song, "If There Ever Was a Time," which specifically addresses the protest movement.

Another song will reportedly feature the percussion talents of the Occupy protesters who took up drumming in the park, much to the irritation of nearby residents.

Other performers set to be featured include DJ Logic, Ladytron, Warren Haynes, Toots and the Maytals, Mike Limbaud, Aeroplane Pageant and Yo La Tengo.
