Senator Tebow? Don't Rule It Out

Excellent leadership skills, from a major swing state like Florida, strong jaw line, fans who watch SportsCenter and fans who watch the 700 club, sounds like a successful politician to me.

During an interview with golf commentator Dave Feherty, Denver Broncos Quarterback Tim Tebow said he wouldn't rule out running for office when his football days are over.

“I don’t know -- it could be something in my future. If it’s something I care about, possibly," Mike Allen reports Tebow said when asked by Feherty if he had a future in politics. Allen reports that Tebow was interviewed for a “Feherty Live” special from the Super Bowl, airing on the Golf Channel at 10 p.m. tonight.

Tebow is an outspoken Christian and namesake for the "Tebowing" viral phenomenon. The quarterback was allegedly approached by more than one 2012 Republican presidential candidate to throw his support, and in turn "Tebow-nation," behind their campaign. Tebow has not yet publicly endorsed any candidate for President in 2012.
