New ad from Obama super PAC says big oil fuels Romney campaign

The White House and the president's supporters have been on the defensive on energy policy over the last few weeks, forwarding the argument that rising gas prices are outside of the control of the oval office. Now Obama's super PAC, Priorities USA Action, is launching a video ad against Republican presidential primary front-runner Mitt Romney and his alleged connections to the oil industry:

The Washington Post reports the ad is in response to the $3.6 million ad buy from conservative groups last week attacking the president's energy record, including delaying the Keystone XL pipeline project and failing to provide any curb to rising gas prices. The new ad will air in the same swing states as the conservative ad: Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio and Virginia.
