The hits keep coming for D.C. Councilman Marion Barry.
Last week Barry started a stink by saying in a speech, "We got to do something about these Asians coming in and opening up businesses and dirty shops." Then we found out he's been irritating Asian Americans for decades.
And this seriously happened just this weekend.
Wearing a blue track suit and green campaign cap, Marion Barry walked slowly into Peter Cho’s busy grocery shop in the heart of Anacostia [in Southeast D.C.] on Friday afternoon to try to mend relations with a man whom he then called, to his face, “a good Asian.”...“This is an example of a good Asian,” Barry said. “Even in the black community, we’ve got businessmen who don’t do their share.”
Why is Barry so openly racist? And why was he wearing a blue track suit with a green hat?
