A 20-year-old North Carolina man has been charged with assault after storming a TV reporter's live shot, shoving her aside and screaming the n-word into the microphone, WMBF-TV reported.

Wearing a blue shirt and dark glasses, a man alleged to be Justin Moore of Charlotte, N.C. jumped in front of WMBF reporter Ashley Taylor during an 11 p.m. newscast Wednesday night and shouted what sounded like, "I am that n----r!"

The newscast quickly cut away and the man took off running. Police officers were given photo of the suspect and apprehended Moore a few moments later.

According to WMBF, Taylor said she was preparing to go on TV when she and a coworker noticed a group of four or five males lingering in the area. The incident occurred shortly after she began speaking.

Moore has been charged with third-degree assault and battery. He was released from jail Thursday on bond.
