Megyn Kelly Cracks Herself Up With Joke About Elizabeth Warren: 'I've Been Drinking Again
May 04, 2012
"I can tell. You enjoy yourself."
It's the end of the week. You know, that time when it gets a little nutty and things you probably wouldn't do or say on a Monday just happen to cross your lips on a Thursday of Friday. That seems to be what happened to Fox News host Megyn Kelly.

The popular host cracked herself up with a corny joke on Thursday afternoon at the end of her show. While introducing Shep Smith and his program, Kelly explained that several viewers have asked her to interview Elizabeth Warren about Warren's admission that she used to claim Native American status in college. Kelly couldn't help it.
"She is more than welcome to come on the program and I already know exactly how I would begin it," Kelly said. She then raised her hand, palm out, and said, "how." Chuckling, she then threw it over to Smith.
"Oh my god, Megyn. Are you kidding me?" Smith asked jokingly. "You're out of your mind."
"Shepard, I've been drinking again!" Kelly said through her laughs, after placing her head in her hands and facing down at her desk.
"I can tell. You enjoy yourself," Smith said with a smile. "Wow."
You can watch the exchange below:
Of course some might disparage Kelly for the joke (HuffPo said she engaged in a "stereotypical Native American greeting"), but it's important to note that some of her popularity comes from her down-home, I'm-just-like-you persona. She many times asks guests the questions the audience is thinking, fondly talks of her grandma, "Nana," and will even crack a joke from time to time that is a little corny.
And people love her for it.
