Romney on Bush endorsement: 'Thank you, shhh...."

Former president George W. Bush offered something of an endorsement of Mitt Romney yesterday, simply saying (as the doors on an elevator shut) "I'm for Mitt Romney."

It's almost as if it never happened. Romney's campaign has said just short of nothing on it and certainly not in the form of a public announcement or thank-you.

The most we've seen: "We welcome the president’s support, as we welcomed his father’s," Romney's spokeswoman said to The Observer yesterday.
