In 1910 Senator Nelson Aldrich, JP Morgan and a few other influential bankers took a private railcar to a remote and exclusive club on Jekyll Island, GA. There they hatched the plan that eventually became the Federal Reserve Banking System.
The latest Real History documentary featured on "Real News" examines the fiscal crisis that led to the idea of the Federal Reserve, the elite group of bankers and statesman who met to form the central banking system, and the lack of documentation surrounding their meeting and how they came to plan the institution we know today.
