Game of Thrones -- an HBO fantasy series I've never watched and probably never will because it sounds like a card game for teenage boys with body odor and acne -- is editing the scene of a recent episode in which a prop severed head resembling former President George W. Bush was used.
Until the scene has been scrubbed, the network is pulling the entire episode from digital platforms like iTunes and halting shipments of DVD box sets that contain it. HBO executives also apologized (again):
“We were deeply dismayed to see this and find it unacceptable, disrespectful and in very bad taste,” the network said. “We made this clear to the executive producers of the series who apologized immediately for this careless mistake. We condemn it in the strongest possible terms and have halted all future shipments of the DVDs, removed it from our digital platforms and will edit the scene for all future airings on any distribution domestic or international.”
