Heartbreakingly Funny: 5-Year Old Loses It After Learning His Baseball Hero Has Been Traded
June 25, 2012
"Will he come back?"
Probably the only thing worse than finding out you've lost your Baseball hero to the world's easiest-to-hate ball club is having your dad film your "freakout" and posting it to YouTube for the whole world to see -- forever.
Chicago White Sox shortstop, outfielder, and second baseman Brent Lillibridge was traded to the Boston Red Sox over the weekend. One Lillibridge fan didn't take the news very well.
“Brent Lillibridge is our favorite player. After I broke the news to my 5 year old son, he began crying and I didn't know why,” the YouTube video’s description reads, “then grabbed my phone to record him after he stormed off to his room.”
Seriously, this video can never be undone. It's on the internet. It's forever. If this White Sox fan grows up to have the kind of friends we did in high school and college, we fully expect this video to play a prominent role in his life.
