The 'burden' should be on Harry Reid to prove he didn't molest me

Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) claimed recently that he received a phone call from an associate at Bain Capital, the private equity firm co-founded by Mitt Romney, who told him Romney "didn’t pay any taxes for 10 years.” Reid wouldn't name the person who supposedly told him this and acknowledged he's "not certain" it's even true. But he heard it!

In a separate interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal yesterday, Reid said it was actually "a number of people" who have told him Romney didn't pay taxes for 10 years. And those people are definitely not "some figment" of his "imagination."

Again, Reid wouldn't say who his "number" of sources are but he did say he shouldn't have to prove they exist or that their claims are true.

"I don't think the burden should be on me," Reid said. "The burden should be on him. He's the one I've alleged has not paid any taxes. Why didn't he release his tax returns?"

Now, typically when you make a statement of supposed fact that no one or most people aren't aware of, you have to be the one to prove it's true. Not today!

So long as this is the new standard, it should be known that Reid touched me inappropriately when I was a little boy. He'll undoubtedly deny this should you ask him, but I believe the burden should be on him to prove that he didn't.
