Mia Love on Mitt Romney: 'What's there not to like?

On Fox News with anchor Megyn Kelly this afternoon U.S. Congressional Candidate Mia Love (R-Utah), who is set to speak later today at the Republican convention, spoke about Mitt Romney and Mormonism.

"I think about Mitt Romney and how he's a great dad and how he's in love with his wife. What's there not to like?" she said.

Love is also a member of the Mormon Church. On what she'd like Americans to know about the religion, she said it has many similarities to other Christian denominations. "We're God fearing. We believe in Jesus Christ," she said.

Love is scheduled to speak somewhere between 2 and 7 p.m. but didn't go into details on her speech. She said President Obama's "vision of America is a divided one" and that the country "need[s] a leader" that will unite everyone. "I want to make sure that we all remember the America that we love and know," she said.

During the segment Kelly asked Love about the status of her congressional race, saying Love is "behind" in the polls. Love told her that her campaign is "coming up." After a short break, Kelly came back on camera to say Love told her she was in fact ahead in polls.

What I've found: Love is actually trailing behind her competitor (also here and here).

We've reached out to Love's campaign to find out what poll she's leading in, if there is one. A staffer said they would get back to me.
