The first hats of the DNC

You've seen a few of the choice hats from last week's RNC in Tampa, this week - the head coverings at the DNC will be in the crosshairs of my iPhone camera. There will be many more pictures to come, but here is the first entry.

Just outside of the Charlotte convention center, I spotted these two ladies and asked if I could take a photo. They cheerfully agreed.

As I shot a close-up photo of the hat from a higher angle, I remarked that the President Obama is depicted as doing just about everything EXCEPT working.

The woman who made the hat became a bit flustered and rummaged through her purse. Within a few seconds she produced a foam Obama in a suit, sitting behind a desk and tried, unsuccessfully to put the working Obama on the brim of her hat.

When she finally realized that the "working Obama" was not going to stay atop her hat, the woman announced:

"The one at the desk just won't stay up there."

That kinda says it all, doesn't it?
