Want to See What a Century of Aging Looks Like in Less Than Three Minutes?

"from 0 to 100 in 150 seconds"

TheBlaze has brought you a time-lapse showing a few seconds of one little girl's life from infancy through 12 years old. Now, in a similar project, an artist in Amsterdam has documented aging from age 0 through 100.

Using a different person to represent every age, Jeroen Wolf, Vimeo user "Filmersblog," began collecting his subjects four months ago. Wolf writes at first collecting ages went quickly but slowed when it came to getting the youngest and oldest subjects. The most elusive age was 99:

I found my very old 'models' in care homes and it was a privilege to document these -often vulnerable- people for this project. I had particular problems finding a 99 year-old. (Apparently 100 year-olds enjoy notoriety, but a 99 year-old is a rare species...) And when I finally did find one, she refused to state her age. She simply denied being 99 years old! But finally, some 4 months after I recorded my first 'age', I was able to capture the 'missing link' and conclude this project.

Collectively, Wolf's project shows "from 0 to 100 in 150 seconds" -- and 5,050 total years of life. Watch the short film for yourself:

Speaking to some of those leaving him comments, Wolf said people were more willing to divulge their age than one might expect.

Those least likely to want to cooperate in the "collection," he found, were those of Moroccan and Turkish descent -- subjects he wanted to try and include to make the film representative of Amsterdam's population.

"As soon as I talked about the camera, they took distance," he wrote.

Those most willing to comply were teenagers.
