Brewmaster hits government bureaucracy trying to recreate White House beer

File this under "of course."

The recipe for the White House Honey Ale beer was made public recently and The New York Times has a running series on the step-by-step process to brewing it.

Making a beer sponsored by the U.S. Government, however, doesn't go without a hitch, as indicated in the first column:

Before I could start brewing, the recipe needed a little interpretation. The White House formula, while promising, is sometimes a bit short on detail. (Our emails to officials seeking clarification got caught up in bureaucratic channels last week, but admittedly the administration had a few bigger matters to deal with.)

Womp, womp.
