Facebook Says Conservative Radio Host's Ads Were Denied 'In Error
September 24, 2012
Facebook said Monday that advertisements for conservative radio host Mike Gallagher's latest book were denied "in error" and are now live on the social networking site, though did not provide details about why the ads were initially refused.
Gallagher said on Fox News last week that Facebook "rejected" an ad for his book "50 Things Liberals Love to Hate" because it contained the word "hate" in the title.
"The ads were declined in error and are now live. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused," Facebook spokesman Andrew Noyes said in an email to TheBlaze Monday night.
Noyes did not immediately respond to a follow-up inquiry about the type of error that occurred, whether it was related to the title or what prompted reversing the decision.
A representative from Gallagher publisher Simon & Schuster did not immediately return a request for comment.
