Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan showed incredible restraint and patience during Thursday night's debate – even after being interrupted by current VP Joe Biden at least 85 times.
Biden, who was constantly smiling, laughing and interrupting his opponent, has been roundly criticized for his behavior in the debate. Fox News anchor Chris Wallace said Biden's demeanor was "unprecedented," while Charles Krauthammer said the vice president was "hugely condescending."
However, his debate performance seemed to satisfy the loyal Democratic base, which was counting on Biden to deliver a solid performance after Obama bombed in the first presidential debate.
