I Have the Right to Vote! I Have the Right to Vote!': Heated Confrontations Break Out as VA Polls Close

Things got tense at one northern Virginia polling location Tuesday night after several residents showed up to cast ballots after the polls had already closed.

An Associated Press videographer captured poll workers shouting down the street in Arlington, Va. as the clock ticked down to 7 p.m., with one worker declaring all voters must be standing in front of him in order to be eligible.

"The line will close at seven! I have 30 seconds. Please make sure you're ahead of me," he said.

After the time was up, several residents who showed up late insisted they be allowed to cast ballots.

"I have the right to vote! I have the right to vote!" one man demanded.

A volunteer offered latecomers the opportunity to cast provisional ballots.
