Is This a Picture of Mitt Romney Pumping His Own Gas?

"I talked to him for a good three minutes while he was filling his tank."

A curious picture has popped up on the viral website Reddit. There, a user posted a photo of a man who looks a lot like Mitt Romney pumping his own gas.

"Mitt Romney at my local gas station.. he looks tired and washed up," the headline says:

So far there's no confirmation that it's actually Romney -- and it could be the user simply posted the picture of a look-alike as a joke. But for what it's worth, the user does offer this tidbit:

I talked to him for a good three minutes while he was filling his tank. I guess he's moving to one of his houses in the town I live in, La Jolla.

Romney does, in fact, have a house in La Jolla, CA. You might remember it was the topic of those trash collector attacks on him.

By the way, the user also noted that the man did not have any security with him and that posting the picture "was definitely not a negatively inspired post, I just thought it would interest some of you."

UPDATE:

Business Insider posted another picture from Twitter user @thegirlss who also claims to have snapped a photo of Romney at the same gas station:

Additionally, the Union-Tribune in San Diego did note Mitt was in town this weekend:

Mitt and Ann Romney were back in town this weekend. The GOP’s presidential candidate and his wife were seen quietly dining at Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza restaurant in Del Mar Highlands Town Center mall (see photos on U-T website). They reportedly viewed Twilight Saga’s “Breaking Dawn, Part 2” at the upscale Cinepolis theater complex there.

While at Sammy's, Romney graciously posed with Sammy's Manager Areen Yuson and employees Caitlyn Schmit and Jerica Maciel.

Little evidence of their return was visible at their oceanfront home in La Jolla’s quiet Lower Hermosa area, however. This time, no barricades were up and no black SUVs stood vigil, much to the relief, no doubt, of neighbors who had been inconvenienced by past security measures.

And others nabbed pictures of him while he was around the area.

So with all that said, what do you think?
