Winter Storms Spur Four Water Spouts in Two States: See the Videos

While some of the northern United States was dumped on by snow Christmas Day, other areas in the South saw soaking rains, high winds and even tornadoes.

In at least two different instances, water spouts were filmed on Tuesday: a triple in Florida and a single in Louisiana.

The trio of water spouts in Walton County, Fla.,accompanied funnel cloud near Santa Rosa Beach and a potential tornado touch down in Blue Mountain Beach, according to the Northwest Florida Daily News. The National Weather Service issued tornado watches for much of the area through the evening.

In Louisiana, which experienced similar conditions to that spread among much of the southeast, another water spout was spotted by residents on the road and filmed using a cellphone camera.

According to NewsNet 5, the spout was caught by those on the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway outside of New Orleans and brought traffic to a stop when it passed over the road.
