Current TV's Joy Behar Laughs About Working for Al Jazeera...But Says Beck Would Have Been a 'Nightmare

"I'm learning Farsi, you know"

The sale of Al Gore's left-wing television network Current TV to Qatar-based Al Jazeera has raised a number of eyebrows on both sides of the aisle, particularly after TheBlaze's offer was rejected for what Current TV described as ideological reasons.

The Wall Street Journal related last week that officials at TheBlaze were told “the legacy of who the network goes to is important to us and we are sensitive to networks not aligned with our point of view.”

Current TV host Joy Behar appears to be falling in step with Al Gore, overlooking her open-minded, liberal principles when discussing her new employer.

After "The Late Show" host Jay Leno jokingly asked her whether Osama bin Laden would be her new boss, Behar replied: "To me it's like 'Al Gore, Al Jazeera, Al Pacino.'  It's all the same thing to me.”

The comedienne continued: "I just work there...I'm learning Farsi, you know."

But when Leno mentioned Glenn Beck's offer to buy Current TV, Behar's tone changed.

"Yes, that would have been a nightmare," she said seriously.
