Quentin Tarantino does not want to talk about the "implications of violence" in his movies. During an extremely tense interview with London's Channel 4 News, the award-winning director made that crystal clear when he berated reporter Krishnan Guru-Murthy for daring to even ask about the potential correlation between movie violence and violence in real life.
"I refuse your question. I'm not your slave and you're not my master," Tarantino said in response to the question. "You can't make me dance to your tune. I'm not your monkey."
The reporter continued pressing, attempting to get the "Django Unchained" director to talk about a "serious" topic. But Tarantino was having none of it. He said the interview was nothing more than a "commercial" for his movie and reiterated that he has nothing else to say about violence in movies.
"I'm shutting your butt down!" he shouted. "This is a commercial for my movie."
When Guru-Murthy asked Tarantino why he thinks there is no correlation between real violence and movies, Tarantino shot back,"It's none of your damn business what I think about that."
For those of you who have never seen a Tarantino flick, they are notoriously violent, as his large fan base has grown to expect -- and enjoy.
The director was in a much better mood when the conversation shifted to the topic of whether or not he was in his prime as a filmmaker.
