The Senate Armed Services Committee will hold a hearing on the Benghazi attacks next week, committee chairman Sen. Carl Levin said Thursday.
Levin (D-Mich.) made the announcement at the start of the committee's confirmation hearing for secretary of defense nominee Chuck Hagel.
Levin did not say which day the hearing would be held.
Outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appeared before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee last week to answer questions about the Sept. 11 assault on the U.S. consulate that left four Americans dead.
