Rush Limbaugh Puts His Money Where His Heart Is, Donates $500,000 to Leukemia And Lymphoma Cure-A-Thon
April 12, 2013
"It continues to be a cause that my family cares about greatly and deeply."
Sometimes charitable giving can be contagious. Well, conservative radio show host Rush Limbaugh got the ball rolling big-time on Friday. During his radio show, he announced he and his wife, Kathryn, will be donating $500,000 to the Leukemia And Lymphoma Cure-A-Thon.
"I never want to make myself the focus of this, but I want to go ahead and do it now because I do want everyone to know that it continues to be a cause that my family cares about greatly and deeply," Limbaugh said.
"So, Kathryn and I have decided that our kickstarter, if you will, donation for the Cure-A-Thon this year is half a million dollars," he added, encouraging his listeners to donate as well.
