Landing your photo on the Drudge Report can either be a really good thing or a really bad thing. For New Jersey Gov. Christ Christie (R) Monday morning, it was a bad thing.
The blaring Drudge headline, "Obama 'kept every promise,'" is, however, slightly misleading. It links to an AP report in which Christie is quoted praising President Obama, but not in general terms as the headline suggests.
"The president has kept every promise he’s made,” Christie said on MSNBC Monday morning. “I think he’s done a good job. He kept his word.” He was referring to federal aid the Obama administration secured for storm relief sent to New Jersey after Hurricane Sandy hit in October. Monday marked the six-months since the storm.
Christie, once all the rage on the right, has received lukewarm publicity on Drudge following his initial praise of the Obama administration after the storm, which hit just before the presidential election in November. A sampling of the site's recent Christie headlines:
