The Stunning Moment a Motorcyclist Crashes Into a Group of Bikers on a Calif. Road -- and Sends Them Flying
May 01, 2013
"Miraculously."
Bicyclists and motorcyclists share at least one thing in common: They're always asking drivers of four-wheeled vehicles to be vigilant and share the road. So it's more than ironic that a video has surfaced from the weekend showing an incredible crash involving those on only two wheels.
The video captures the moment a motorcyclist on California's Mulholland Highway rounds a corner and piles into the back of a pair of bicyclists, sending them flying.
Here's the video. Make sure you select the HD format for the full effect:
So how did it end? Actually quite well.
The video's description says that a commenter on the video who claims to be a friend of one of the cyclists explains the riders are fine.
"This was my friend visiting from England who was struck first. (I was further back on the hill when the accident happened and am one of the guys who comes in the picture to his assistance)," the person says. "He's doing ok today, was discharged from the hospital yesterday with no broken bones. Miraculously."
As for the accident, the person who took the video explained that it was caused not by negligence, but resulted from the motorcyclist hitting his foot on the pavement, sending the motorcycle upright and into the cyclists.
