Via AEI, here's a peak at another angle of today's bad jobs news -- the jobs gap:

James Pethokoukis argues that this is the "single-most depressing, discouraging US jobs chart" today:

This is the “jobs gap,” the terrifying maw that is consuming the hopes and dreams of millions of Americans. If the Fed is gong to look at employment metrics to guide monetary-policy+, I hope this is one of them.
