Unverified Video Shows Moment Syrian Rebels Launch a Rocket and Nearly Hit a Gov't Helicopter

If you can't take suspense, don't watch the video below. That's because what you're about to see is about a minute-and-a-half of drama before what is said to be a Syrian rebel opens fire on a government helicopter with a shoulder-fired missile.

The video, which purports to be new, was posted on June 10 and says it shows rebels nearly-hitting or hitting a state-controlled helicopter, according to HuffPo.

The video shows a fairly quiet early evening or early morning. Crickets chirp in the background as a man speaks in hushed tones, repeatedly saying "allahu akbar," as he films a counterpart. At times, he points the camera in the air and zooms in on a helicopter. Eventually, his counterpart fires and it appears the missile hits the chopper. It's unclear if it crashed.

Here's the suspenseful video:

Similar video was posted last fall showing rebels shooting at a government helicopter.
