Sarah Palin Is Rejoining Fox News

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is rejoining Fox News, less than five months after she and the network parted ways.

The 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee will return as a contributor on Fox News and Fox Business Network, and will make her first appearance Monday on "Fox & Friends," according to a network statement released Thursday.

“I’ve had several conversations with Governor Palin in the past few weeks about her rejoining FOX News as a contributor. I have great confidence in her and am pleased that she will once again add her commentary to our programming. I hope she continues to speak her mind," Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes said.

Signs of friction between Palin and Fox News emerged last summer, after she took to Facebook and wrote that the network "canceled all my scheduled interviews” during one night of the Republican National Convention. At the time, Fox said the RNC's last-minute condensed schedule made it necessary to bump her.

Palin hailed Fox News' power as "unparalleled" in Thursday's statement.

"The role of FOX News in the important debates in our world is indispensable. I am pleased and proud to be rejoining Roger Ailes and the great people at FOX," Palin said.
