Failed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has agreed to be interviewed for the followup to the 2010 New York Times bestseller Game Change, according to Politico.
The first book, by journalists Mark Halperin of TIME and John Heilemann of New York took readers behind-the-scenes of the 2008 presidential campaign, making headlines for the damning gossip inside, as relayed by anonymous campaign staffers and aides. It spawned a four-time Emmy-winning HBO original movie based on the portion of the book that dealt with the selection of Sarah Palin as the No. 2 to then-GOP nominee John McCain.
The followup, Double Down: Game Change 2012, is scheduled for release in November, this time focusing on the 2012 campaign. Romney has also agreed to be interviewed for another book by the Washington Post's Dan Balz.
