After the Supreme Court issued two rulings last month that gave a boost to proponents of same-sex marriage, New Yorker magazine ran a cover featuring Sesame Street's Bert and Ernie, long the subject of gay rumors, cuddling in front of a TV set.
Sesame Street has denied that the puppets are gay but most voters in Texas are on the fence. Fifty-two percent say they're "unsure."
Results taken from a new survey by Public Policy Polling:
[J]ust 8% of Texans think Bert and Ernie are gay, while 41% believe they are not.
