A Pellet Gun, an Open Container of Alcohol, a Vehicle in a No-Parking Zone: What Not to Bring When Photographing the Secretary of State's Home

A police spokeswoman says the man told security officers he was taking photographs to show a friend, but he then deleted the photos.

BOSTON (TheBlaze/AP) -- Authorities have arrested a man spotted outside Secretary of State John Kerry's home reportedly taking photographs of a window.

A pellet gun was found in the man's vehicle, a Kerry spokesman said.

State Department security officers called Boston police when the man's vehicle was seen in a no-parking zone near Kerry's Louisburg Square house.

A police spokeswoman says the man told security officers he was taking photographs to show a friend, but he then deleted the photos. When asked to move his vehicle, the man said he'd been drinking.

Kerry was not at home at the time.

The 29-year-old man is due in court on Monday.

Kerry has been in the news for a few non-diplomatic reasons of late.

His wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, needed emergency hospitalization after she reportedly suffered a seizure over the July 4 holiday weekend.

And the day before the Fourth of July, Kerry was spotted on his yacht in Nantucket—the same day Egypt was in the throes of a coup which resulted in the ouster of its former President Mohammed Morsi, a move for which Kerry was greatly criticized.
