All these images show microorganisms in a single drop of pond water.
The eerie-looking life forms were captured by Peter Matulavich from Ohio through high-definition microscopy.
The video's description reads:
THESE slimy creatures may look like aliens from another planet but they are actually the life teeming inside a SINGLE drop of pond water. The colourful organisms - which also thrive in puddles - were captured using high-definition microscopy. The 'pond safari' pictures show everything from a paramecium moving through bacteria to a hydra 'defecating'.
"As this amazing footage shows, it is simply a world within a world," the narrator with Barcroft TV said.
Check out the footage:
Although much of this microscopic life is completely harmless, some microorganisms can cause infections and other illnesses. A Florida boy, for example, is currently fighting for his life against a rare, brain-eating amoeba that he contracted from a body of water.
