You'll never guess...
Doctors in Aliso Viejo, Calif., initially thought 4-year-old Paul Franklin had a staph infection resulting from a cut on his knee. When a round of antibiotics did nothing to heal the wound, his family discovered a much more bizarre problem.
Acting against a doctor's recommendation, the boy's mother squeezed the wound to drain it after her son's knee started turning black.
It was then that a black sea snail shot out of the boy's knee.

"He moved!" Rachael Franklin recounted to the Orange County Register. "There's a freakin' little guy in there! Bubbles were coming up."
"Ken Franklin now believes his son must have fallen on a nest on that rock, that an egg was forced into the knee and began gestating. It is the only thing he can think of," the Register reports.
Thankfully, the 4-year-old's knee is almost healed. He has since named the snail that was once lodged in his knee "Turbo."
