Desperate 'Breaking Bad' Fans Call 911 After Cable Outage During New Episode

"Breaking Bad" fans in Connecticut were so desperate to get their fix of the AMC show Sunday night that after the cable went out, they decided they better call...the police.

The Fairfield Police Department in southwestern Connecticut received so many 911 calls about the outage that it posted a message on its Facebook page saying it was not a matter for the police and warned that misuse of the 911 system could lead to arrest.

The Facebook post, which was removed by Monday afternoon, generated several comments such as "Missing Breaking Bad IS an emergency," according to BuzzFeed.

Cablevision said in a statement around 11 p.m. that a commercial power outage in its Norwalk facility led to a temporary service loss.

"Breaking Bad," which follows a dying high school chemistry teacher turned drug lord, is in its final run of episodes before the series finale Sept. 29.
