Police Arrest 2nd Suspect in Savage Beating Death of 88-Year-Old WWII Vet

Police in Spokane, Wash. said they have arrested the second suspect in the beating death of 88-year-old Delbert Belton.

Kenan Adams-Kinard, 16, was arrested shortly after 3 a.m. Monday morning on first-degree murder and first-degree robbery charges, the Spokane Police Department announced. Adams-Kinard was arrested without incident in a basement apartment in Spokane.

"Good investigative work and follow-up on dozens of tips led to the apprehension of the suspect four days after the initial incident," the Spokane Police Department said.

Belton, a World War II veteran, was found severely beaten with head injuries in an Eagles Lodge parking lot Wednesday night and died of his injuries the following morning.

Police announced the arrest of 16-year-old Demetrius Glenn on Friday.
