Iran Denies Reports About President Rouhani's Kind Tweet to Jews: He 'Does Not Have a Tweeter Account

"As the sun is about to set here in #Tehran I wish all Jews, especially Iranian Jews, a blessed Rosh Hashanah."

Iran is denying reports claiming President Hassan Rouhani wished the Jewish people a “blessed Rosh Hashanah," or a happy new Jewish year.

“Mr. Rouhani does not have a tweeter account,” presidential advisor Mohammad Reza Sadeq told Fars News Agency on Thursday.

As TheBlaze previously reported, an account belonging to Twitter user @HassanRouhani wrote: "As the sun is about to set here in #Tehran I wish all Jews, especially Iranian Jews, a blessed Rosh Hashanah."

The account was still active on Thursday and tweets were still being posted throughout the day.

The bio section of the Twitter account reads: "Iranian President's English Account."
