Viral Video Captures High School Band's Massive 'Pileup' After Tuba Player Falls, Triggering Chain Reaction
September 30, 2013
"A great viewing on YouTube."
A video uploaded to YouTube last week captured a high school marching band suffering a "seven tuba pileup" during a half-time show — and now it's going viral.
The video shows a member of the Lake Travis High School band in Austin, Texas, stumble to the ground, triggering a chain reaction among fellow band members.
Marco Alvarado, a spokesman for Lake Travis Independent School District, said he was unaware of any injuries or damage to equipment as a result of the pileup.
"It was just somebody who was just obviously performing their routine and had a slip up that caused a literal chain reaction," Alvarado told TheBlaze Monday. "The kids quickly recovered and continued with their performance."
"They got back up, and all is well," he added, noting, however, it does make "a great viewing on YouTube."
