The Obamacare health exchanges didn’t launch Tuesday as smoothly as supporters of President Barack Obama’s signature legislative achievement would have liked.
Starting early Tuesday morning, the story was all about glitches with the exchange websites and other technical difficulties.
But that news apparently didn’t reach MSNBC in time to prevent anchor Mara Schiavocampo from trying – and failing – to enroll in the government-run program on live television.
During her failed attempt to sign up for the program, she was met with an error message. She then tried to reach an official Obamacare “navigator” – and was put on hold for roughly 35 minutes.
“If I were signing up for myself, this is where my patience would be exhausted,” Schiavocampo said before she gave up.
