Dramatic Video: Camera Catches Suspect Ramming Cop Car as Officers Have Guns Drawn (UPDATE: New Version Captures Shots Ringing Out)

Witnesses said at least 20 police cars chased the vehicle toward Capitol Hill, where the car crashed outside the Capitol.

Brand new video obtained by Alhurra Television appears to show a black sedan speeding through the streets of Washington, D.C. as the driver fled from police before multiple shots rang out near the U.S. Capitol on Thursday.

In a new version of the Alhurra video, gun shots are clearly heard as the suspect rams a police car and speeds away:

The pursuit began when a car tried to ram a security barricade blocking the stretch of Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House, according to a law enforcement official who was not authorized to discuss the case by name and insisted on anonymity.

The driver was in custody but he did not reveal her condition, Capitol Police Chief Kim Dine said. Fox News reported Thursday afternoon that the suspect was killed.
