In a rare exchange of words between Israel and Hamas, the Jewish state and terrorist organization exchanged a series of jabs over Twitter Tuesday.
The exchange started after Israel Defense Forces spokesman Peter Lerner sent out a tweet reaffirming that Israel will continue to hunt down those who perpetrate acts of terror
An account appearing to belong to Hamas' military wing immediately responded to Lerner's tweet, saying the terrorist organization will "continue its holy way of struggle" until "the liberation of whole #Palestine."
The exchange, however, appeared to come to a sudden end after Hamas' account tweeted a picture at Lerner of an image appearing to depict a deceased Palestinian child under a pile of rubble, supposedly a result of an Israeli strike.
