Gregory Sims, who is a Lake Brantley High School trainer and science teacher, won't receive pay during his suspension, according to WFTV-TV.

The Seminole County teacher also reportedly taped the female student's book bag to a pole. A letter from Superintendent Walt Griffin said these actions were a "means of addressing her disturbing class," WKMG-TV reported.

"I have determined that your conduct in this situation does not conform to the Seminole County Public Schools Student Conduct and Discipline Code," Griffin continued. "This is unacceptable conduct on the part of a professional educator and represents misconduct in office."

Parents were disturbed by the teacher's actions. WFTV has more on these perspectives:

"I don't think anything could really warrant that," parent Sue Parker said.

"It scares me, because I don't know who to trust," parent Maria Hernandez said.

This isn't the first incident meriting discipline for the man who served for two decades either. Other incidents included embarrassing students and calling a females derogatory names.
