The oft-repeated lesson the public has to keep learning was captured perfectly in the live tweeting that took place Thursday of a former CIA spy's would-be private conversation on an Acela train.
After the whole thing was over, Michael Hayden, the former spy and NSA chief, approached his eavesdropper, political strategist Tom Matzzie.
“Would you like a real interview?” he asked Matzzie, according to the Washington Post.
“I’m not a reporter,” Matzzie said.
“Everybody’s a reporter," replied Hayden.
Maybe not an actual reporter. But with social media, everyone is at least a publisher. Shh.
