God, Guns & Giving': The Three Things That Are Bringing Glenn Beck, a Hero Navy SEAL and a TV Star Together in Texas

"It's one of those things where it makes your family have to go out with the kids...it gets fathers, sons, moms, the whole family together."

Glenn Beck's charity organization, Mercury One, is bringing together a team of remarkable people for its first annual "God, Guns & Giving" event in Dallas, Texas, this weekend.

Joining Beck for a sporting clays shooting event on Saturday are former Navy SEAL and "Lone Survivor" author Marcus Luttrell, Rick Harrison of "Pawn Stars," national shooting champion Scott Robertson and many others. The event will raise funds for Mercury One's charitable endeavors.

Harrison told TheBlaze that he got involved in the event not only to help contribute to charity, but also for the shooting.

"I've had shotguns my entire life," the "Pawn Stars" star said. "It's one of those things where it makes your family have to go out with the kids...it gets fathers, sons, moms, the whole family together."

"It's family fun, and you can teach kids safety and hopefully one day they'll teach their kids," he added.

The sold-out event starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, starting with a required safety brief at 8:30 a.m. followed by the sporting clays shooting event at 9 a.m. There will also be a kid's shooting event so people can bring the whole family. Scott Robertson, of Team Beretta, will then give a special shotgun exhibition show at 12:30 p.m.

TheBlaze will be on scene, so expect a lot of great pictures and coverage this weekend.

Additionally, the "God, Guns & Giving" dinner and silent auction is set for Friday at the Omni Hotel in Dallas where a number of great speakers were scheduled, including Taya Kyle, widow of slain Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, and David Barton.
