Male Student Reportedly Shot at North Carolina A&T State Univ.; Injuries Not Life-Threatening; Campus Lockdown Lifted

*** Update 10:50pm; One person has been shot and transported to the hospital. Police are on the scene investigating. The campus is still in lockdown. Stay behind closed and locked doors. ***
UPDATE, 11:43 p.m.: According to WGHP-TV in High Point, the shooting victim was a male student who was transported to the hospital; his injuries are not life-threatening; four suspects are being sought in connection with the shooting.
The shooting occurred outside a residence hall around 10 p.m., WGHP reported. The lockdown went into effect about 10:30 p.m. and was lifted about 11:30 p.m. WGHP reports officials lifted the lockdown because students observed the suspects leaving campus.
UPDATE: From the campus website: *** Update 11:20pm; The campus lockdown has been lifted. For increased safety, the University Police Department recommends that you stay in doors. The incident is under police investigation. The suspects have not been identified at this time. ***
