The false '60 Minutes' Benghazi report has had no effect on the show's ratings
November 20, 2013
Though CBS's "60 Minutes" had to apologize for featuring a fake eye-witness to the Benghazi attack on a U.S. consulate in one of its broadcasts, the show's viewership has remained steady, according to TVNewser:
Since that story aired on Oct. 27, the show has averaged 14.309 million total viewers in its three airings. In the four weeks before the story aired the show averaged 13.56 million.
CBS has said it is conducting an internal review to investigate how exactly "60 Minutes" botched its report.
