The Video of a Little Student Crying Has Led to an Investigation of the Teacher

Saudi Arabia’s Education Ministry is reportedly investigating a teacher on suspicion that he filmed one of his little students crying in class and then posted the video online.
The video which was posted Tuesday has been viewed on YouTube almost 900,000 times as of this writing.

In the video, the boy is seen in school uniform with a notecard and pencil sobbing inconsolably while the teacher who is off camera speaks with him. Al Arabiya did not identify either the teacher or the student, who appears to be as young as a first or second grader.
Ministry of Education Spokesman Mohammad al-Dekhini criticized the filming of the student in class and then posting the video online while the regional education department called it "irresponsible."

Dekhini told Al Arabiya, “The Ministry has begun taking necessary measures regarding this issue.”
Al Arabiya reported on Thursday that the incident occurred in Sebia in southern Saudi Arabia.
The head of the local education ministry Ahmed Rabiie told Al Arabiya that such behavior would not be tolerated and that a commission of inquiry would convene to decide the appropriate punishment.
